PAY SIASIA HIS MONEY- MINISTER FOR YOUTHS AND SPORTS BARRISTER SOLOMON DALUNG BEGS NFF

Youth and Sports Minister Barrister Solomon Dalung has appealed to the Nigeria Football Federation NFF to pay the U-23 National team's Coach Samson Siasia. The Minister gave the charge when Siasia paid him a visit Monday in his office in Abuja. Siasia visited with his wife Sandra to thank the Minister for his support to the Dream Team from Atlanta to Rio where they won Bronze in the football event of the Rio Olympics and to officially inform him that his contract with the NFF has ended.

3 SUSPECTED CULTIST GANG RAPE TEENAGER IN IKORODU

Two suspects, who allegedly gang raped a 14-year-old girl in Okeota Ona Grammar school road in Ikorodu area of Lagos, have been arrested by the police. 
Vanguard gathered that three of the suspects, Afeez, Kabiru and Ramon are currently at large while Olabisi Olasunkanmi and Jamiu are being investigated by Juvenile and women centre at the Igbogbo Divisional Police Ikorodu. It was gathered that the victim was ambushed on her way back from school, when one of the alleged suspects took her earpiece before dragging her into his room where she was reportedly gang raped.

Bahamian Shaunae Miller won a gold medal by diving towards the end of the race. She beat American Allyson Felix, who was obviously the favorite to win the race butcame second on Monday in the 400 meters race. Thereby preventing Felix from getting a record fifth gold medal. She won the Gold by diving across the finish the line to win by .07 seconds.

Her dive will go down as one of the most dramatic images seen at any Olympics.

FEDERAL HIGH COURT SITTING IN ABUJA SUSPENDS PDP NATIONAL CONVENTION

A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has suspended the National convention of PDP being organized by the Ahmed Makarfi-led faction of the party slated for August 17th in Rivers state.

The embattled factional chairman of the party, Ali Modu Sheriff, had approached the court to seek an interlocutory injunction against the convention.

Makarfi and a member of the National caretaker committee of the party, Ben Obi, had immediately applied that they be joined in Sheriff’s suit as co-defendants.
